Google Dev Fest is an event organized and sponsored by Google, it’s aimed to gather techies from around the city to share and talk about latest trends inbn various IT fields, connect and network. It’s an annual event and each edition has been better than the last, the next edition will be held in this November at the Hillside Events Center, you can register here

Friday’s at Ekondo is a themed gathering at the Ekondo Park in Jabi, each edition has a different theme for the friday evening that’s centered around plants and recreational activities, a good way to start the weekend if i say so myself. The Friday Open Mic is organised by the Abuja Literary Society and held at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, it is a mix of emotions, clever wordplay and a network of artistic individuals. Held twice a month on the first and second Friday evenings(7pm to 9pm.), it’s guaranteed to be a thrilling eperience for attendees and participants. As the name implies, it’s an open mic for anyone so don’t be shy to say a few words, break a leg.
Founded to promote Nigeria’s Nollywood space, it has been showcasing the cinematic richness of Nigerian creatives. The Abuja Film Festival is scheduled to hold from 28th October to 2nd November 2025 at the Silverbird Cinemas Abuja. It entails exhibitions from various artists and organisations to diverse award nomination categories, register here.
